Who we are

Hello, I'm Noemí, the baker behind Lar Bakery.

Let me tell you why this little venture allows me to live life on my own terms.

Lar means home, and that's exactly what we're all about: a cosy home bakery nestled in just near Bath. I started Lar Bakery this year to bring together the things I love most: living in the countryside (we swapped the city for the calm of the Cotswolds), travelling to Spain to stay connected with my loved ones, and working in a way that aligns with my values.

There are two main reasons why I became a pastry chef: firstly, there's something incredibly satisfying about crafting something with your own hands; and secondly, nothing quite compares to the joy of seeing someone enjoy what you've baked. (Okay, maybe there's a third reason: eating the leftovers, but let's call that a necessary quality control measure!)

I'm a certified pastry chef, having completed my formal training and further specialised through courses at Hofmann, one of Spain's most renowned patisseries (if you're ever in Barcelona, you absolutely must pay them a visit!). Unfortunately, working in the industry can sometimes be frustrating if you're not lucky enough to find a job where quality and care are truly valued.

That's what makes this project so special! At Lar Bakery, every recipe is developed with patience and dedication, then baked in small batches with love and attention. It's about enjoying the process, connecting directly with my customers, and creating products I can genuinely be proud of. I may not maximise sales, but I will always stand by the quality of my bakes.

We specialise in small batches of delicious, comforting treats. Nothing fancy, just pure joy in every bite.
